01  /  Why oil

Black gold.
Real energy.
Chain native.

Everything you touched today moved on oil. The ship, the truck, the plane, the plastic in your hand, the food in your fridge. Empires were built on the barrel and several were burned over it. Oil is the base layer of the physical world and it has been for a hundred years.

While the rest of the market draws animals and sells you a story about robots, we went to the bottom of the stack and took the asset the whole thing actually runs on. $OIL is not a meme about oil. The curve is oil. Price discovery happens in tokenized crude, the pool graduates into locked USO, and holders get paid in the same barrel they are betting on.

One strait moves roughly a fifth of the world's seaborne crude. Twenty one miles wide at the choke, a permanent standoff on both banks, and a tanker queue that never stops moving. Every headline out of that water reprices the barrel before it reprices anything else.

Oil built the empires. We just made it tradeable in a trench.

How $OIL works

Three moving parts. All of them on chain, all of them denominated in crude.

01

Pick the oil curve

Launch on PMAV and select the USO lane. From the first block your bonding curve is quoted in tokenized crude instead of a generic ETH pair. Every buy and every sell is settled against the barrel.

02

Locked liquidity

At graduation the pool sets into a Uniswap v4 pair against USO and the position locks. There is no withdraw path, no timer, no multisig holding the keys. The oil stays in the ground.

03

Drip USO

Holders earn USO pro rata by time held. Sit on the bag and crude accumulates against your wallet. Enforced on chain from the creator rewards share, claimable any time from the coin page.

Frequently drilled questions

United States Oil Fund. It is the tokenized oil fund that trades natively on Robinhood Chain, and it tracks the price of crude through near month futures. Real commodity exposure, on chain, settleable in a smart contract. That is what the $OIL curve is priced against and that is what gets dripped to holders.
Liquidity locks at graduation into a permanent Uniswap v4 pool against USO. There is no withdraw function. Nobody holds a key that pulls it, including us. You can verify the pool and the lock on the explorer the second the contract goes live. Everything else about a meme coin is risk you take on purpose.
Hold $OIL. Rewards accrue pro rata by time held, so the longer the bag sits, the more crude piles up against your wallet. Nothing to stake, nothing to lock, no third party contract to trust. Claim whenever you want from the coin page.
Because oil is real. It moves your car, heats your house, makes your plastic, feeds your grid, and prices your groceries. A dog coin is a JPEG with a story attached. Oil is the asset the story is about. One of those has been a reserve of value for a century and it is not the dog.
Robinhood Chain. An EVM L2 with chain ID 4663. Fast, cheap, and the only chain carrying native tokenized equities and commodity funds like USO. That is the entire reason an oil denominated curve can exist here and nowhere else.
The contract is live and the address is on this page. For price, depth and trade history, pull up the USO pool on your charting tool of choice, or watch the pool straight from the explorer. Follow @OilRobinhood so you are not the last one to the wellhead.
